Successful Conclusion to Multi-Family
Investment
Renton, Washington Property Sold
Tiburon, Calif., August 16, 2006 – Ratel Investments, a real estate private equity company, today announced the sale of the Arbors (formerly named Cascade Heights), a 284-unit garden-style apartment complex in Renton, Washington. The property was purchased by the Longwell Company.
Ratel capitalized on the strength of the Seattle real estate market to exit its investment in the Arbors and lock in investor profits. “In two years, we were able to achieve a sale valuation that we had originally projected would take eight to ten years to achieve,” said Ron Sann, founder and Principal of Ratel Investments. “Our investors earned an internal rate of return of approximately 18% and a return on equity of nearly 40%.
“We were very pleased with the results of our investment with Ratel in the Arbors,” said Mary Schreiber, a Ratel investor. “They exceeded their target return for us, which is not something that happens every day.”
